Recipe saving on Honeydew and copyright
We know that behind every great recipe is a creator who put time, thought, and care into developing it. Honeydew is built with deep respect for recipe creators and the content they share.
How Honeydew handles saved recipes
When you save a recipe in Honeydew, the app captures the key details -- title, ingredients, steps, and images -- so you can cook from it conveniently. This content is stored in your personal account for your own private use, much like clipping a recipe from a magazine and putting it in a binder.
Linking back to the original source
Every recipe saved from a website or online source includes a direct link back to where it came from. This means you can always visit the original page, support the creator, and see any updates they may have made. We believe the original source deserves credit and traffic, and Honeydew is designed to encourage that.
What Honeydew does not do
- Honeydew does not republish or redistribute saved recipe content publicly.
- Saved recipes are private to your account and are not visible to other users or search engines.
- Honeydew does not claim ownership of any recipe content you save.
If you're a content creator and have questions or concerns about how your recipes appear in Honeydew, please reach out to us at support@honeydewcook.com. We're happy to work with you.
