TikTok is one of the most popular places to discover new recipes, but those quick videos can be hard to follow when you're actually in the kitchen. Share a TikTok to Honeydew and the AI will turn it into a proper recipe with ingredients and step-by-step instructions.
How to save a TikTok recipe
Find the recipe video you want to save in your TikTok feed or search results.
Tap the arrow icon on the right side of the screen to open TikTok's share options.
Scroll through the share options and select Honeydew. If you don't see it right away, tap "More" or "Other" to open the full Android share sheet.
Honeydew's AI will analyze the TikTok video -- picking up on spoken directions, on-screen text, and captions -- to extract the recipe.
Look over the extracted recipe to make sure it's complete, then save it to your collection.
Getting the best results from TikTok
TikTok recipes are usually fast-paced, but Honeydew's AI is built to handle that. Videos where the creator lists ingredients and walks through the cooking process -- even quickly -- tend to produce the most complete recipes. Videos that are purely visual with no narration or on-screen text may result in less detail.
If a TikTok creator lists the full recipe in the video caption or comments, Honeydew will use that information too. Creators who include detailed captions make your saved recipe even more accurate.
