Save from Instagram
Found a mouthwatering recipe on Instagram? Whether it's a photo post, a Reel, or a Story, you can send it straight to Honeydew using the Android share sheet. Honeydew's AI will pull out the recipe details so you don't have to type anything yourself.
How to save an Instagram recipe
Navigate to the Instagram content that contains the recipe you want to save.
For posts and Reels, tap the paper-plane icon below the content. For Stories, tap the three-dot menu or the share arrow.
Choose the option that opens the Android share sheet rather than sending it to another Instagram user.
Select Honeydew from the share sheet. The app will receive the Instagram link and begin processing it.
Honeydew will extract the recipe from the Instagram content. Review the ingredients and steps, then save it to your collection.
What types of Instagram content work?
- Photo posts -- Honeydew reads the caption and any text in the image to find recipe details.
- Reels -- The AI processes the video to extract recipe ingredients and instructions.
- Stories -- Share the Story link to Honeydew before it expires to capture the recipe.
If a recipe is spread across multiple Instagram slides (carousel posts), share the entire post rather than a single slide. Honeydew will do its best to capture all the content.
