How to get the most out of Honeydew
Honeydew is designed to make saving and organizing recipes as easy as possible. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of the app from day one.
1. Set up your share sheet
The share sheet is the fastest way to save recipes on iOS. Add Honeydew to your share sheet favorites so it's always just a tap away. You can save recipes from Safari, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and almost any other app.
2. Organize recipes into cookbooks
Don't let your saved recipes pile up in one big list. Create cookbooks to group them by cuisine, meal type, occasion, or however you like. For example, you might have cookbooks for "Quick Weeknight Dinners," "Baking," or "Holiday Favorites."
3. Try meal planning
Use the built-in meal planner to schedule recipes for the week. Drag and drop recipes onto specific days, and Honeydew will help you generate a grocery list based on your plan.
4. Use search to find recipes fast
As your recipe collection grows, search becomes your best friend. Search by recipe name, ingredient, or keyword to quickly find what you're looking for.
5. Install the Chrome extension
If you browse recipes on your computer, the Honeydew Chrome extension lets you save recipes with a single click. The saved recipe syncs instantly to your phone, so it's ready when you head to the kitchen.
6. Keep the app updated
We regularly release updates with new features, improved recipe detection, and bug fixes. Make sure automatic updates are enabled in the App Store, or check for updates manually to always have the latest version.
Start small -- save a few of your go-to recipes, create one or two cookbooks, and build from there. You'll have a personalized recipe library in no time.
