How to add notes to a recipe
Honeydew lets you add personal notes to any recipe. Whether you want to jot down a substitution that worked well, a cooking tip you discovered, or a reminder for next time, notes keep all of your insights right alongside the recipe itself.
Adding a note
Navigate to the recipe you want to annotate and tap to open it.
Scroll to the notes section of the recipe. Tap on it to open the text editor.
Write whatever you'd like to remember -- ingredient swaps, cooking adjustments, serving suggestions, or anything else.
Tap Save or tap outside the notes area. Your note is now attached to the recipe.
Things to know about notes
- Notes are private -- only you can see them. They are not shared when you share a recipe with someone else.
- You can edit or delete your notes at any time by tapping the notes section again.
- Notes sync across all your devices, so anything you write on your phone will also appear on your tablet or the web app.
Try adding a quick note after you cook a recipe for the first time. Small details like "reduce salt by half" or "bake 5 minutes longer" can make a big difference the next time around.
