How to search your recipes
As your recipe collection grows, search becomes the fastest way to find exactly what you're looking for. Honeydew lets you search by recipe name, ingredient, or other details so you can pull up the right recipe in seconds.
How to search
From your main recipe list or the Cookbooks tab, tap the search bar at the top of the screen.
Enter a recipe name, an ingredient, a cuisine, or any keyword related to the recipe you're looking for.
Matching recipes will appear as you type. Tap any result to open it.
What you can search by
- Recipe name -- search for the title of the recipe (e.g., "chocolate chip cookies").
- Ingredient -- search by a specific ingredient to find every recipe that uses it (e.g., "chickpeas").
- Keyword -- search for any term that appears in the recipe, such as a cuisine type or cooking method.
Using filters
In addition to the search bar, Honeydew offers filters to help narrow down results. You can filter by cooking time, meal type, or other attributes to quickly zero in on recipes that match what you need.
Try searching by an ingredient you want to use up -- it's a great way to discover recipes you may have forgotten about.
