Honeydew isn't showing in my share options

Last updated: 2026-02-06

Sharing a link or image directly to Honeydew is the easiest way to save recipes. If Honeydew isn't appearing in your device's share menu, follow the steps below for your platform.

iOS

1
Open the share sheet

In any app (Safari, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), tap the share button to bring up the iOS share sheet.

2
Scroll through the app row

Swipe left in the row of app icons. Honeydew may be further along the list and just out of view.

3
Tap "More" to enable Honeydew

If you still don't see it, scroll to the end of the app row and tap "More." Find Honeydew in the list and toggle it on. You can also drag it higher in the list to make it easier to find next time.

4
Try sharing again

Go back and open the share sheet once more. Honeydew should now appear in your app row.

Android

1
Confirm Honeydew is installed

Make sure the Honeydew app is installed and up to date from the Google Play Store. The share option only appears when the app is properly installed.

2
Restart your phone

A simple restart often refreshes the share sheet and makes newly installed apps appear.

3
Clear the share sheet cache

Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Opening links, and look for options to reset share preferences. The exact path may vary by device manufacturer.

4
Try sharing again

Open the share menu from the app you're saving a recipe from. Honeydew should now be listed.

Still not appearing?

If Honeydew still doesn't show up after following the steps above, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This re-registers the share extension with your operating system and usually resolves the issue.

Reinstalling the app will not delete your saved recipes. All your data is tied to your account and will sync back once you log in again.
