How to use Household Sharing
Honeydew's household feature lets you create a shared space with family members or anyone you cook with. Share recipes, collaborate on grocery lists, plan meals together, and even use the family whiteboard widget.
Setting up a household
Go to the Settings section in Honeydew.
Look for the Household option and tap it to create or join a household.
Give your household a name and invite family members by sharing an invite link or code.
When someone accepts your invite, they join your household and can see shared content.
What you can share
- Recipes -- share your saved recipes with household members so everyone has access.
- Grocery lists -- collaborate on a shared shopping list. Anyone in the household can add items or check things off.
- Meal plans -- plan meals together. Everyone can see what's scheduled and add suggestions.
- Whiteboard widget -- a shared drawing canvas that appears on everyone's home screen.
The Family Whiteboard
The whiteboard is a fun, shared drawing canvas for your household. Leave notes, doodles, or reminders that everyone in the household can see. It syncs in real time and can appear as a widget on your phone's home screen, updating automatically.
Member roles
Each household has an owner (the person who created it) and members. All members can view and contribute to shared content. Each member gets a unique color for easy identification.
Household sharing is a Honeydew Plus feature. All household members need their own Honeydew accounts, but only the household owner needs a Plus subscription to enable sharing.
