How to use Meal Planning
Honeydew's meal planner lets you schedule recipes for specific days of the week, set serving sizes for each meal, and automatically generate a grocery list from your plan. It takes the guesswork out of "what's for dinner?" and makes shopping trips more efficient.
How to plan your meals
Navigate to the Meal Plan section in Honeydew. You'll see a calendar view of the current week.
Select the day you want to plan for and tap to add a recipe.
Select whether this is for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack.
Browse your saved recipes or search for one. Tap to add it to that day's meal plan.
Adjust the number of servings for each meal. This is especially useful if you're cooking for different group sizes on different days.
Generate a grocery list from your plan
Once you've planned your meals for the week, Honeydew can automatically generate a grocery list with all the ingredients you'll need, scaled to the correct serving sizes. This saves time and ensures you don't forget anything at the store.
Household sharing
If you've set up a household in Honeydew, your meal plan is shared with all household members. Everyone can see what's planned for the week, suggest recipes, and contribute to the plan.
Try planning your meals on the weekend, then generate a grocery list and do one big shopping trip. It's a great way to save time and reduce food waste during the week.
