Free Grocery List Template: Printable PDF and Copyable Lists
Print the aisle list, use the meal-planning worksheet, or copy the plain-text version. No email address and no account required.
The bottom line
Use page one for the store and page two before the store. The meal sheet catches ingredients; the aisle sheet makes the finished list faster to shop.
The download is first because that is probably why you are here. It contains two US Letter pages: an aisle-organized grocery list and a weekly meal sheet that helps you find the ingredients the list needs.

Honeydew publishes this guide, created the printable, and makes the Honeydew app. The PDF is free for personal use with no email address or account required.

How to use the two-page template
Start on page two.
- Write the meals you expect to cook on the days they fit.
- Add the servings or leftover plan on the second line.
- Check the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry, and note what should be used.
- Copy the missing ingredients to page one.
- Combine duplicate ingredients and write one final quantity.
- Add breakfast foods, snacks, drinks, and household supplies.
- Take page one to the store.
The separate pages matter. Recipe order is useful while planning, while aisle order is useful while shopping. The full grocery-list method shows the handoff with a worked three-dinner example.
When the list needs to stay current
Paper is excellent when the plan is settled. A shared digital list becomes useful when meals change or two people are shopping.
Honeydew lets you save recipes, place them on the week, set servings, and add the ingredients to one grocery list. Repeated ingredients are combined and sorted by aisle. Household members see updates as items are added or checked off, and the checklist remains usable offline.
You can keep this PDF on the refrigerator for planning and use Honeydew for the live trip through the store.
Common questions
Where can I find a free PDF template for a grocery list?
Download Honeydew's free two-page PDF on this page. Page one is a blank grocery list organized by aisle, and page two turns a week of meals into ingredients. It is US Letter size and does not require an email address or account.
How do I make a list for groceries?
Write the meals you plan to cook, set the number of servings, copy the ingredients, combine repeated items, remove what you already have, and sort the final list by aisle. Add household staples last.
About the template
Chris Habib created this original template for Honeydew. The category order follows a common produce-to-frozen shopping trip, but stores differ, so write over the labels or use the Other section when your route changes. The PDF was generated and visually checked at full US Letter size on September 1, 2026.
