Use the in-app camera

You can also capture a recipe photo directly from within Honeydew. Open the app, tap the add button, and select the camera option. Point your camera at the recipe and take a photo. Honeydew will process the image immediately.

What types of images work?

  • Screenshots of recipes from websites or apps.
  • Photos of printed cookbook pages.
  • Pictures of handwritten recipe cards or notes.
  • Images shared by friends or family via text or email.

For the best results, make sure the text in the photo is clear and well-lit. Avoid blurry or heavily angled shots. Honeydew's AI handles most images well, but sharp, straight-on photos produce the most accurate recipes.
